Ortega Complete remodel and expansion in Ortega (Updated June 1.) This charming Ortega home will undergo massive remodeling to include: raising the ceiling almost 2 feet, expanding the living area, adding a guest bath, remodeling the kitchen, 4 bedrooms. and 2 other baths. Existing Family Room will be converted into a spacious Library. The library has been expanded and a new vent-free fireplace added. These doors will be removed and the exterior wall pushed out. The Library is ready to go. New windows running the length of the wall have been added. By pushing out this wall, the space becomes much more "family friendly." Now with the wall moved out and huge new windows, it's now a great living space. The floor is going to be raised and the steps eliminated making this more suitable for senior living. The kitchen will be expanded and separated from the Library. The kitchen is almost stripped and ready to start. Looking through the passthru to the new Library fireplace. A dividing wall with a passthru flanked by a wet bar and powder room to the left and home office to the right will be added. The Living Room will be enhanced by widening the passage to the foyer and modifying the passages to the Sun Room. The Dining Room will be enlarged on the far end by extening a bay window. Larger entrances to the foyer and kitchen will also be added. The Sunroom will be enhanced to take advantage of the natural light and to increase flow. The wall between the Kitchen and the Sunroom has been removed. Roof is exposed and ready to be raised. The Sunroom has been modified to allow better traffic flow. Note the difference in height in the room now. The Sunroom will be enhanced to take advantage of the natural light and to increase flow. This wall will be kicked out to create space for an expansive Bay Windows. An attractive brick landing complements the new exterior layout.
