Foundation & Framing

• Foundation is constructed of steel rebar-reinforced concrete according to Professionally Engineered Specifications based on soil analysis
• Treated toe plates are installed throughout and exterior toe plates are bolted to foundation
• Framing lumber is culled for straightness and uniformity
• Framing members are designed and installed for structural integrity on 16” centers
• Fire-Blocking is installed between all wall framing members
• Exterior walls are covered and structurally reinforced with 1/2” CDX Plywood
• Exterior sheathing is covered with Tyvec House Wrap for reduced air infiltration
• Second story sub-floor is constructed using 3/4" Advantech water proof tongue and groove decking that is glued and screwed to engineered floor trusses
• Exterior penetrations, toe plates, and doors are sealed with Poly-Seal foam

Insulation

Our standard insulation is a Bio Based 501 Spray Foam or Dura-Tyte that effectively seals the home against air infiltration and substantially reduces the temperature difference between the attic and conditioned air space. Bio-Based insulation is a soy based environmental friendly product.

Drywall & Paint

• Drywall is installed with screws
• 5/8” sheetrock on all ceilings and ½” sheetrock on all walls
• Hardy Boards in all wet areas
• Level 5 slick finish
• Painted walls receive a primer coat plus two finish coats using quality Benjamin Moore products
• 35 year caulk in all applications

Cabinets & Trim

• Custom Cabinets:

• Impasse Termite Blockers - Physical barriers installed on all foundation penetrations
• Tri-Die - A residual non-toxic insecticide applied to all exterior walls prior to sheetrock
• Final Treatment – A complete house treatment including the attic and outside perimeter

3rd Party Inspections

• Professional Engineer - Foundation inspection prior to pouring concrete
• Independent Licensed Building Inspector - Framing and completed project inspection
• County Inspector – Septic system inspection
